Book your Farm Experience
Our booking process
We can’t wait to meet you and share a lovely time with our goats here at Forest Lodge.
Please take a moment to read the full page before booking, as it contains important information to help you get the most out of your visit.
To ensure a calm, relaxed and enjoyable experience, we recommend that children are over 3 years old. This helps us keep the experience safe, gentle, and suitable for everyone involved.
Each session runs for approximately one hour, although this may vary slightly depending on the weather and the needs of the animals on the day.
During your visit, you’ll enjoy a hands-on farm experience with our friendly goats, along with opportunities to collect eggs, cwtch our guinea pigs, prepare fresh salad for them, and, if you wish, try your hand at feeding the chickens.
At certain times of the year, we may also have lambs on the farm. When available, there will be the special opportunity to help with bottle feeding — a truly memorable seasonal experience. Please click the button below for more information about lamb feeding sessions.
We look forward to welcoming you to Forest Lodge for a peaceful, personal, and unforgettable visit.
While you're here, we'll keep things nice and calm
At Forest Lodge we want everyone to feel safe, relaxed and able to enjoy their time. Thank you for helping us create a gentle and welcoming space by:
- moving slowly and calmly around the animals
- using gentle touches and voices
- listening to Jo when she shows you how to interact
- not grabbing, chasing or making loud noises
If a goat walks away, that's okay, don't be offended, they're simply choosing to have a little space.
- listen carefully to Jo's guidance and demonstrations
- Children need to stay with their adult at all times so we can keep everyone safe and happy
- Jo is here to help you have the best experience. Sometimes she may have to pause the activity to keep you and her animals safe. Thank you for following her lead.
- Please use the hand washing facilities at the end of the session before heading home.
- Cover any open cuts where possible
